Bear River Summer Market opening May 19th

Get ready for the 2013 Sunday Summer Market and Music in Bear River.

May 19th – October 6th
1 pm – 4 pm

Now in its 4th year, the market will be held again on our beautiful downtown waterfront, behind the Legion.

The scenery is fabulous. Watch the tide come and go; the birds swoop and soar. Wander through the trees while hearing live music from local musicians.

Vendors include local award winners like Sledding Hill food products; Sissiboo Fair Trade Coffee, and delicious home-baked goodies from Karen as well as bedding plants, pottery, paintings, jewellery, seasonal garden produce and more.

If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please contact market manager Ken Flett at 467-0469 Reserve your spot for $10 per afternoon or $150 for the season, a savings of $60.

Here are two wonderful opportunities to add new flowers and plants to your garden–both from local gardens.

1. This Saturday, come down to the Green Lantern Building after 10 am for a wide selection of well-priced plants at this annual, popular sale in Bear River.

To contribute your garden plants or baked goods to this fundraiser for the Bear River Board of Trade, please drop off your donations to the Green Lantern building between 9 am – 10 am on day of sale.
May 12, 2013 from 10 am to 2 pm. Rain or shine!

2. Mother’s Day Specials at the plant table at 6709 Sissiboo, or call Pamela 467-0619 to arrange pick up.
